Company recalled Minnesota defective product

United Press International reported a Minnesota-based company issued a recall on LED light kits that were imported from China.

Reports by the U.S. Consumer Products Commission stated the Minnesota defective product pose a burn or fire hazard due to incorrect wiring, which may cause the battery pack to overheat.

The company encouraged people to stop using the Minnesota defective product and to obtain a free repair kit.

Listeria in potatoes latest Minnesota defective product

Star Tribune reported Northern Star issued a voluntary recall on their Simply Potatoes product.

Testing done by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture determined the potatoes were a potential Minnesota defective product when listeria was found in a sample of Simply Potatoes Southwest Style Hash Browns.

The recall of the Minnesota defective product involves the following brand name products: Simply Potatoes, Diners Choice, and Farm Fresh, which contains hash browns, wedges, and slices.

There is no report of any incidents related to the Minnesota defective product.
